Our Massage Therapists
offer a variety of massage techniques, based on their own expertise and
your body’s needs. We help you achieve what you want to achieve.
The types of massage
offered at THE GYM include:
Swedish
– Our European massage increases circulation, detoxifies cells and helps
release your body’s tension. Take the time to undo the stress of life
and experience this highly-effective, ancient technique.
Deep Tissue
– Deeper and stronger massaging allow our therapists to target sore or
overworked muscle groups more effectively. Deep tissue massage not only
helps to decrease workout recovery time, it prevents muscle tension and
tightness.
Side-By-Side*
– Share the experience of relaxation with a friend or loved one with our
side-by-side massage. Choose any of our signature services and be
pampered in our duet suite as your therapist helps you unwind and relax.
Pre-Natal
–This massage will therapeutically help improve circulation, strengthen
the immune system and enhance overall bodily functions. This specialized
technique also helps a mother connect emotionally to her baby as well.
Sports
– This specialized massage technique attempts to repair muscles that are
overworked during exercise or sports. It combines the Deep Tissue and
Swedish massage, which helps your muscles repair at a faster rate,
leaving you strengthened and ready to perform.
Hot Stone Therapy
– Soothe tired muscles with the warmth of an ancient Hot Stone
Treatment. Aromatic massage oils are applied to heated basalt stones and
placed on the body to fit your contour. Energy-balancing properties in
the stones help you relax, while a therapist massages with a variety of
healing stones.
Acupressure
– This is an ancient Oriental massage that incorporates the principles
of gentle pressure-point therapy. Your therapist will use his palms,
thumbs and fingers to reduce tension and clear blockages in the body.
Reflexology
– This massage targets the pressure points on your hands and feet which
correspond to all areas of the body.
Shiatsu
– This is a traditional Japanese technique using acupressure which
involves the manipulation of specific points and meridians of the body
through rhythmic thumb and hand pressure.
Trigger Point Therapy
– In this technique, your therapist will apply pressure to tender muscle
tissue to relieve pain and tension.
Thai Body Work**
– This method involves a series of assisted stretches involving
acupressure, twisting motions and joint manipulations to stimulate the
flow of intrinsic energies while releasing blockages and increasing
flexibility.
